Mulligatawny Farm Open Gardens in aid of charity

Michael Hogan, the interior designer and artist, will open his garden at Mulligatawny Farm in Skeerpoort again this year. Last year was the first time this magnificent 16-hectare garden was accessible to the general public, and the positive response convinced Michael to host an open garden again this year.

Situated near to Skeerpoort in the Cradle of Humankind, the garden will be open on 13, 14 and 15 October 2017, in aid of St George’s Turning Point Foundation, which helps young people acquire vocational skills and obtain

The landscaping draws inspiration from the great gardens of Europe, particularly Monet’s water gardens at Giverney, but surrounded by the splendour of the Magaliesberg.

Mulligatawny Farm is celebrated for its 130 varieties of waterlilies, thousands of roses, irises, crab apples and a large collection of bamboos. It is also exceptionally rich in birdlife.

The garden will be open on Friday 13 October from 10h00 to 17h00 for groups, clubs and retirement homes, while the general public is welcome on the 14 and 15 October, from 09h00 to 17h00, with booking via Webtickets or at the gate. Food and drink will be on sale at the venue, along with a plant stall focusing on unique and extraordinary plants.

Please note that the Farm will be open on Friday, 13 October 2017 for group bookings :
Groups of 4 or more will pay a discounted amount of R150 per person for tickets
Group visitors on 13 October will benefit from Michael Hogan, the creator, designer and visionary of the magnificent gardens, conducting guided tours for visitors.
