Kenton Garden Club

Kenton Garden Club was founded in December 2017 with a view to encourage and extend gardening as a hobby and pastime in Kenton-on-Sea and surrounding areas.

We aim to disseminate knowledge, local experience and ideas relating to gardening amongst our growing membership base. Experts will be invited to talk to the members (February – November) on the second Wednesday of each month (at 09:30) on interesting subjects relating to gardening. We anticipate holding a garden show, assisting with public gardening initiatives, visiting other garden clubs and many varied activities. Visitors are always welcome.

Walker Bay Orchid Society

WBOS was established in 1994 in Sandbaai and Hermanus area in the Western Cape by a group of Orchid enthusiasts. The goal of this Society is to share the knowledge about orchids, to curb the stereotype that “Orchids are difficult to grow”, to increase the membership to WBOS and to share the beauty of orchids with the public.

Gardening at Leisure, Knysna

We are an informal and friendly group, and no matter what your gardening ability and gardening knowledge is, you can look forward to pleasant company, interesting guest speakers and a good tea at our meetings.

The Club was founded in 2003 by Sheena Maree and Denise Voysey. It meets on the first Friday morning of the month with the exception of January and July, when no meetings take place. The venues are at different localities, sometimes in members’ gardens or at places of interest. The Club’s mission is to promote the love of gardening, to cultivate gardening interest in its broadest sense,  and to promote environmental responsibility.
