About Us
Heckers Garden Centre is an established, award-winning garden centre with over 45 years of experience, first opening its doors in 1981 from Ronnie and Rika’s passion for nature in all its forms. Today, we are proud to be recognised as a Garden Centre of Excellence and regularly awarded Best of Ekurhuleni.
We strive to inspire our local community to create and environmentally friendly spaces at home through quality products, honest service, and practical solutions.
Through our Hecker Homegrown range, we grow approximately 40% of the plants we sell. This allows us to offer excellent quality plants at affordable prices while maintaining a lower carbon footprint.
Visitors can enjoy a relaxing stroll through the garden centre, surrounded by natural beauty and birdsong, or unwind at Café Ambrosia with a variety of sweet and savoury options. Our team is always ready to assist with friendly, knowledgeable advice to help you find the right solutions for your garden.
