This month at Water Wise
Welcome back! Best wishes for the New Year! The Water Wise team hope you had a lovely festive season and a relaxing December break. It is good to have you back as we look at ways we can be more Water Wise this year. Climate forecasts indicate that we can expect some effects of the latest El Nino cycle. Although the cycle was a little late this time around, we can still expect an increase in dry spells throughout summer and inconsistent rainfall. The forecasts are also very confident for above-normal maximum temperatures as we move into the second half of the summer season. High temperatures and irregular rainfall mean that it is more important than ever to be careful with how we use water.
Happy New Year!

Role players are extremely concerned about the infestation of this beetle and it’s tree destroying fungus. Awareness is essential if there is going to be any attempt to contain the spread of this destructive pest. With this in mind, SALI has put together a brochure highlighting important information on Shot Hole Borer identification and methods to stop its spread.
