Getting your kids to paint flowerpots is a fun, creative #garden activity. Not only will they be able show off their art and a beautiful plant or floral arrangement but it makes a great gift too!
What you need:
- Clay flowerpot
- Dish detergent (to wash the inside of the pot before you plant anything in it)
- Newspaper
- Pencil
- Acrylic paints (assorted colours)
- Paintbrush
Step 1:
Wash the inside of your flowerpot, even if it is new, with dish detergent. Rinse it thoroughly, and place it in the sun to dry.
Step 2:
Cover your work surface with newspaper.
Now it’s time to get creative!
Step 3:
You can either sketch a pattern or picture on the flowerpot or you can jump right in with your colourful paints.
Step 4:
Paint the design with acrylic paints.
Let the paint dry.
Step 5:
Once the paint is dry, put a plant in the flowerpot.
