Grevillea is an attractive, dense growing, low shrub which is a fuss free specimen to use in the garden. They are notoriously drought hardy and cope well on hot dry embankments.
Grevillea lanigera ‘Mount Tamboritha’ is evergreen and has grey green spiked leaves; these have a slight silvery appearance due to fine hairs on the leaves. The shrub has a low spreading habit and will extend to approximately 1, 5 meters when fully grown. Their approximate height is just less than half a meter but they can be easily pruned to shape.
Grevillea performs best in a full sun position and thrives in a well drained soil .Water to establish but once established it is happy in most growing climates. This plant is marvelously drought tolerant with minimal water seeing it through hot, dry months.
The spiraled flowers are of huge interest when they appear in the summer months clustered on the end of branches. They are pink and cream in colour and are loved by butterflies, bees and birds.
Grevillea lanigera ‘Mount Tamboritha’ is easy to grow and very rewarding .It is perfect for windy spots or seaside gardening. Try them on hot dry verges and steep embankments for all round evergreen colour and splashes of light pink in summer.
