Small Pelargonium (Pelargonium ionidiflorum)

ENG: Small Pelargonium

AFR: Klein malva

DESCRIPTION: This Pelargonium has small dark green leaves that appears frizzy around the edges. It bears masses of dark pink, tiny but typical Pelargonium type flowers.

GROWTH HABIT: The plants form dense bushes of about 30cm x 30cm that keeps green all year round and flowers most of summer.

GARDEN USES: This is a great filler for the garden border or as a container plant. It would also work well on embankments. Brings pretty colour into the garden and a sort of fairy like feel.

REQUIREMENTS: The Pelargoniums are semi – hardy so they should be kept in a sheltered position if it gets very cold. If grown in containers it would be easy to do so. They are very waterwise and will actually be very unhappy with wet feet. They also love the sun but can stand a bit of shade during the day.
